CARAVAN is an international peacebuilding arts non-profit (501c3) / NGO that originated in 2009 in Cairo, Egypt, addressing the increasing chasm of discord and misunderstanding that exists between the cultures and creeds of Middle East and the West.
As an East-West peacebuilding arts initiative, CARAVAN encourages the peoples of the Middle East and West to journey together through the arts, hence our "caravan" theme.
Our experience has shown that the arts serve as one of the most effective mediums to enhance understanding, bring about respect, enable sharing, and facilitate friendship between those of different cultures and faiths.
Through our CARAVAN Exhibition of Art, our flagship initiative, and the variety of art initiatives that we develop, we bring people from the Middle East and West together for peacebuilding purposes.
