1. Inpatient and outpatient treatment and prevention of addiction for adults and teen at risk.
2. Outreach and prevention programs for soldiers.
At present we treat 120 clients (men, women, and teens) with addiction to drugs, alcohol
and gambling, who stay with us in full residence for 6-9 months. Additionally, we have a
Detox where we treat 20 young women ages 14 to 27, for up to 3 months. Most of them
are "good kids" from religious or traditional homes, both in Israel and abroad. Some
hidden pain has prompted them to search for "easy and good" pain-killers like drugs and
alcohol, and we help them return to normal life, to their families, and most importantly,
to themselves.
Retorno also runs various prevention programs for soldiers, providing them with the tools
to handle the pressures of service without resorting to drugs. Retorno also identifies
soldiers who suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or are developing this
syndrome. Army officers receive tools for identifying soldiers in distress and the means of
helping them.
